Funny English

We don't talk much of English with the kids at home, so it is understandable that they have funny English sometimes. In addition, we didn't grow up speaking English.. we started using the language literally when we came to the state for college years ago. They are mostly exposed to English only through church's classroom, school (for Uriah, Thea is not in school yet), and through DVDs that I borrowed from the library.
A while ago the kids were crazy with flashlights. They will play with them for hours at a time. They would turn it on & pretending to look for things, and we told them that one only turns it on when it is dark, so that one doesn't waste the battery. We told them they could go into the closet to turn it on. One afternoon, they both got a flashlight in their hand.. and Uriah asked Thea to come with him to play the flashlight.

Uriah: "Do you want to go into the darkness, Mei(妹妹)?"
:) :) :)

Another thing is, they like to play under the table. Also under the computer desk. We told them it is very dangerous, because there are lots of cable and ab outlet surge underneath the table. So we always told them not to play under the computer desk. One time, Thea was playing under the desk and Uriah asked her: "Meimei, do you want dangerous?"

Our Baby Number Three

Time flies. It felt like yesterday I just had our newborn baby. Baby Ephraim is now a little more than a month old. It has been quite an adjustment for all of us. Now Thea learned to be less attached to me, because I am pretty much occupied with the new baby. I guess ts true what people say, adjustment from 1 to 2 is harder than 2 to 3. I feel that that is the case, not to say that it is easy, but it somehow not as shocking to all of us.

Uriah and Thea love the new baby and love to entertain him, too. But of course, I have to keep a close watch on them..Kids are kids. :) They probably think that he is a toy. :p

I forgot how small a newborn is, especially the first time they put him in my arms a few seconds after his birth. This tiny person has captivates my heart and mind ever since. I could stare at him the whole day, whether he be a sleep or awake. I would await the grins on his face when he is in light sleep stage to see the dimples on his cheeks. I just want to cherish every moment with him, because this is most likely our last child. :) He won't be baby forever, and I hope that time will slow down for me so that he won't grow up so fast. :) People might think I am crazy, but I am serious. Uriah is going to kindergarten in a couple of days, and it seems like yesterday when we first joined the parenthood community. I think as we get older, time is ticking faster. Haha!
